The public domain beside Lake Karapiro, is a Council owned, park like campus, containing recreational, accommodation and service facilities.

The new Chibnall Buckell Marovic Team Architects Community and Cultural Centre, built for the 2010 World Rowing Championships, anchored the campus, however the tired existing amenties required upgrading.

Skinned in Cedar, steel, copper and masonary blockwork, these three simple, mono pitched structures, quietly nestle themselves into the surrounding environment.
