Congratulations to our Auckland Team Architects who came away from the NZIA Local Architecture Awards on 9th May, held at MOTAT Aviation Hall, with a Commercial Architecture Award for EMA Business Hub and Carpark.
This Khyber Pass building is a “strong response to one of the toughest streets in the country,” the jury said. The project was praised for its “bold and pragmatic materials” and “generous outdoor spaces” which ensure a good connection with its environment.
Team Architects are proud to have been among the many exciting and innovative projects selected as winners at this year’s Awards, and thank the jury for their consideration. This year’s jury was led by Rick Pearson who was joined by architects Jeff Wells, Julian Mitchell and Katherine Dean. Lay juror Fleur Palmer completed the jury. Pearson noted the high quality of the shortlisted projects made the jury’s work particularly challenging this year.
