With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, Agneesh brings a diverse range of skills and perspectives to his role as Principal at Team Architects’ Palmerston North office. Articulate, passionate and innovative, he is known for his ability to understand the needs and drivers of his clients and a project’s end-users.
After gaining his Bachelor of Architecture degree in India and winning the President’s Medal for his thesis, Agneesh moved to Australia to continue his design and construction studies. In Sydney, he worked on a range of commercial and education projects before arriving in New Zealand in 2006. Here, he has relished the opportunity to expand his skills and design portfolio with a diverse range of project types.
Agneesh’s specialist areas include defence infrastructure, emergency services, seismic upgrade management, tertiary education, community & cultural spaces, commercial & retail development. He has also enjoyed the opportunity to design several award-winning boutique urban homes and interior fit-outs around the Manawatu region.
In addition to his specialist areas, Agneesh’s continuous research and expertise lies within the fields of computational design and advanced digital construction technologies. He is among key personnel to lead and develop the R&D in this domain.
Among his notable projects are the Explosive Processing Facility at Ohakea Base; St John Ambulance Station & Community Hub at Levin; the seismic upgrade of the Sports & Recreation Centre, the PC2 Laboratories and Wharekai (community dining hall) at the Massey University Manawatu campus; and The Gateway precinct – a large community-focused mixed-use development that has been a catalyst for the revival of the Feilding town centre.
