William has over 20 years of professional experience following a double qualification in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. He works across a broad range of project types with specialist knowledge in Heritage and Landscape Design. He is interested in the way architecture becomes a cultural marker of the past, sustains the needs of our present society and its impact on our environment into the future.

In April 2007, William joined with Stewart Ross as a co-Director in Fulton Ross Team Architects. His is also a Director of Team Architects Limited, a consortium of 9 architectural practices across New Zealand. William has been the Project Architect on a range of projects working with a series of consultant teams with proven ability to work with both contractors and clients to ensure the best results for all stakeholders.

William is a member of the Christchurch City Urban Design Panel and the Akaroa Design & Appearance Committee. He was a representative on the Joint Management Board which operated in the aftermath of the Christchurch earthquakes in 2011. He has been a member of the local NZIA branch committee since 2010. He is a member of Heritage New Zealand and of ICOMOS NZ.

William is a keen skier and a member of the Mt Cheeseman Ski Club Management Committee.
