Team Architects

The Kings and Queens Performing Arts Centre (PAC) was a project that formed the final stage of the Kings High School master plan set over fifteen years ago by Warburton Team Architecture (WTA). 

The architectural objective was to design a Performing Arts Centre that would provide a rational new contemporary building form linking into the surrounding school buildings by way of repetitious punctuations.With an exposed steel structure segmenting the exterior envelope we intended to emphasise the structure as a cradle, suspending the auditorium volume within, wedging the terraced seating end giving a clue as to what is within.
