Newport Interchange

Isle of Wight, UK

The project conisted of three buildings, the first being a refurbishment of a 1950's post-war building that was housing the bus interchange and admin offices. A new bespoke curved building was built for the bus interchange and support staff, the existing building was refurbished and converted to retail and office space. A third flagship retail building was built along the main street frontage to hide the bus layover area. The design of the buildings, selection of materials and colour choice ackowledge and embrace the sea and yachting culture that encompasses the Isle of Wight.
