The brief for this refurbishment project was to re-invigorate the kitchen and living spaces of a once glamorous but dated residence in a complementary manner.

The challenge and opportunity was to design something that infuses the house with a new aesthetic which encapsulates its former glamour whilst still maintaining harmony with existing spaces of the house that were not to be refurbished.

Furthermore, the adjoining pool house pavilion was also rejuvenated to realise a refreshing timber clad space that is book-marked with an impressive living vertical garden feature wall.

Careful consideration was given to how the design of the interior joinery and overall colour palette would be key elements in the finished architecture in order to revive, but maintain the integrity of the house. Completed in a palette of warm timber finishes accented with neutral but elegant hints of cream and white via bench-tops and wall coverings, the interiors seamlessly effuse a sense of both luxury and of easy living.

The small but dramatic renovation has successfully converted and cleaned up pocket like spaces into open plan areas with maximised exposure to expansive views over the adjacent park and managed to capture the essence of the house for the owners to now enjoy, entertain and relax within.
