The proposal is spread across 8000m2 which includes conversion of existing supermarket building and the site into a community focussed mixed-use retail precinct with a two unit apartment block. It is intended that the site will be developed in at least 4 phases. Studying and empathising inner business zone’s socio-economic factors was crucial to outcome of master planning solutions and architectural grammar which is a resultant of extensive research and analysis around urban design principles, current and future retail trends, town’s growth patterns, community needs and heritage conservation. Cohesive integration of the public realm with the built environment is the major driving factor for the proposal. The solution would not have come so far if it was not for the integrated and collaborative design approach.
