We believe in designing exceptional spaces to change people’s lives. It’s a belief anchored in the transformative power of design, something we champion with our clients and which we have applied to our own business over the last 12 months.

Working collectively across our ten New Zealand practices, we have developed a clear shared purpose, a new visual brand and a new website that shares the best of our TEAM work. We’re excited to unveil our new brand identity, designed in partnership with ET Collective and our new website, developed by Voyage.

Our new brand identity for TEAM Architects is designed to better represent our strength as a collective. We work across New Zealand, on a diverse range of architectural projects for many different individuals and communities. This gives TEAM Architects a diversity and depth of experience that informs and improves our work. We are stronger together, with each studio able to call on expertise and insights from others in the collective to produce exceptional work.

Since our beginnings in 1995, TEAM Architects has always valued the contribution each individual makes to the group. Among our Principals are award winning industry leaders, successful in their own right, leading practices that know their own geography and community intimately. Together, they have built a nationwide team of skilled individuals who bring a diversity of thinking and experience to every project, no matter the scale.

A group from across the TEAM Architect collective have been guiding the brand project. It’s been much more than just a design exercise; it’s been a journey of discovering who we have been, who we are now, and who we want to be in the future.

Recently appointed TEAM Chair, Darren Shadbolt from our Palmerston North practice, says the project has been a microcosm of how TEAM engages with clients and stakeholders in their architectural work. “Everyone has had the opportunity to listen and to be heard. We made a commitment to working as a team from the outset and that shows in the exceptional end result.”

For Elza Avery at ET Collective, the brand design project has been an opportunity to work closely with her father Kerry Avery, Principal at TEAM Architects in Auckland. “It’s been a unique challenge, working on a business that I’ve been connected to for so long. But it’s also made it more personal and I’m really proud of the work we’ve created.”

The new site features updated profiles of our team and portfolio projects from across the country. Over time, it will also feature insights and new thinking from people across the group. We look forward to sharing our work with you, as we continue to change lives for the better through exceptional design.
